Through the Three Sisters House workshops and lectures we share traditional wisdom from Aboriginal ancestors and empower people to make healthy, sustainable choices when feeding themselves and their communities. For some people, that means learning how to cook soups for a diabetic diet. For others, it means learning how to preserve and cure meat. For many of our participants, it means learning about the history of food and environmental issues and activism throughout the province, especially as they relate to Aboriginal communities. By showing that it’s both important and possible to make responsible choices around food, we hope to help people build healthier and stronger communities.
