Ojiibikens (Little Root) Early Years Program

 ChildrenFamiliesFoodFood Sovereignty

Ojiibikens is a land-based community program that is in development and will be launched later in 2018, focused on Food Sovereignty, Traditional Medicines and Language learning. It involves a wide range of inter-generational activities and brings together elements of culture, food security, and health and physical activity for 0-6 year-olds and their families. Ojiibikens will improve the overall well-being of our urban Indigenous community in Toronto. There will be many activities to reclaim and rebuild land-based skills from growing and harvesting to preparing our Indigenous foods and traditional medicines.
